Montgomery County Office of Consumer Protection (OCP) is joining with federal, state, and local government agencies and national organizations to celebrate the 13th annual National Consumer Protection Week (NCPW) coming March 6-12, 2011. During NCPW, organizations share tips and information that help consumers protect their privacy, manage money and debt, avoid identity theft, and avoid frauds and scams.
Guest speakers will discuss building/rebuilding your credit, managing your debts, and issues affecting seniors. OCP will also be answering consumer questions online throughout the week. Please submit your consumer question to us at consumerprotection@montgomerycountymd.gov by Friday, March 4th. We will post answers on our website at www.montgomerycountymd.gov/consumer.
Sign language interpreter services will be provided only upon request with notice as far in advance as possible but no less than 72 hours prior to the event.
