Conference to Celebrate Disability History and Disability Employment Month
The public is invited to attend “Snapshot: Capture…Connect…Create,” a free event celebrating Maryland Disability History and Awareness Month and National Disability Employment Awareness Month, on Tuesday, October 11 from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Silver Spring Civic Building. The event will include remarks by Cathy Raggio, Secretary of Maryland’s Department of Disabilities; as well as presentations on Maryland’s Senior Health Insurance Program and a hot topics panel discussion. A resource area will be featured where attendees can gather information on employment, housing and transportation options.
