Pinky & Pepe’s Grape Escape Hosts Fundraiser for Gaithersburg Police Foundation Gaithersburg, MD

The Gaithersburg Police Foundation will hold a fundraising event at Pinky & Pepe’s Grape Escape, 223 Kentlands Boulevard in Gaithersburg, Maryland on Saturday, October 1, 2011 from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m.   A silent auction with items donated by merchants of The Kentlands Center and others will be held, along with a complimentary wine tasting.  Items include gift cards from local merchants, a book collection from Random House, and art work. 100% of the money raised through the silent auction will be donated to the Foundation.  Items are still being accepted for the silent auction.  If you would like to make a donation please contact Pinky Rodgers at the number below.  The public is encouraged to drop by for a fun time, great atmosphere and an opportunity to meet the members of the Gaithersburg Police Department and the Gaithersburg Police Foundation, who will be on hand throughout the day.   Formed as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in January, 2008, the Gaithersburg Police Foundation seeks to support the Gaithersburg Police Department with its mission to provide quality services to the residents of Gaithersburg.  The Foundation raises funds to offer educational opportunities for the police department staff, enhances recruitment and retention of officers, provides logistical support to officers, provides technology assistance, and helps to finance community outreach initiatives.
