The Committee for Ethnic Affairs advises the Montgomery County, MD County Executive and County Council on public policy that relates to ethnic affairs; promotes maximum involvement of all ethnic groups in the County in government, business and community affairs.

CEA Member Attends the 10th Annual Maryland Hispanic Business Conference

On August 26, Jeff Lynch (CEA member) attended a Professionals in International Affairs happy hour in Rockville.  At the event Mr. Lynch engaged Montgomery Municipal Cable about potential CEA programming.
On September 16, 2011, Jeff Lynch (CEA member) attended the 10th annual Maryland Hispanic Business Conference the North Bethesda Marriott and Conference Center.  Mr. Lynch met with various private and public entity representatives from such organizations as the Montgomery County Department of Economic Development, State of Maryland Housing and Community Development, and the Ana G Mendez University System (a bilingual, Spanish and English, university located in Florida that plans to open a campus in Wheaton in January 2012.  Students will be able to take their core courses in either Spanish or English).  Mr. Lynch looks forward to further developing a working relationship between these entities and CEA.
